Sorry to hear about the mechanical woes

Having just arranged a warranty for my used van I'd be keen to know which warranty company you use given your pain.

I took out a 3 year warranty with the RAC which was offered by the garage, seen as I have a bit of finance on it so it covers till its paid. To be honest they are very good with no complaints, they were only questioning the garages labour charge to change the sensor. Unfortunately the garage I bought it from was not a VW dealer but a different brand starting with F who dont have the right diagnostic equipment for the VW so it got passed about to one of there techs who was VW trained and I think a snap on diagnostic machine was used, even my own garage diagnosed the the issue as 4096 (P001600) Camshaft position sensor G40/Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor G28 INCORRECT ALLOCATION/CORELATION . All gobbledegook to me just want me van fixed.
