Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Such a shame it’s closed for the day but it is quite exposed to the wind, noticed that on the Thursday even tho it was not that windy

W o W it must be bad. It’s a shame for the people who have traveled from far away. Hopefully they get some compensation of some sort.

Travelled 3hrs night before and booked a hotel. Plan B was a day out in London, lovely day none the less.

Not really expecting much more than ticket price, it’ll be all wrapped up in the T&c to cover themselves in such events.

I’m super keen for FOS 2024 & already bought tickets! :D
This year I didn’t think about it til May & only tickets available then was for Thursday.

Had an awesome time at Goodwood FOS 2024.
Some controversy about the much higher hay bale barriers which I agree did impact the enjoyment.IMG_9694.jpeg

The first year that I went there was nothing more than a rope fence along most of the circuit. There were minimal hay bales at the corners but nothing like we see now.
It's a shame because it does spoil the view but each year, with ever faster cars on the course, I do wonder how long it will be before someone rolls over the top and into the crowd!..

I've been atending the FOS for many years now in a working capacity...the extra safties this year were largely as a result of the wheel ending up in the croud last year and striking a person. If they did nothing and another incident occured you can bet your bottom dollar that Motorsport UK would make it very dificult to host the event.
