Both t6 and t6.1 look good with appropriate detailing/spec. T6.1 is a latest model, hence your brain is telling you its better! It would have been really great if VW made TRUE electric van and release it.

Well only because I am thinking about a Sharkfin with GPS, FM and DAB. But I thought it would need the metal roof for a ground plane?

And I thought all of the roofs including the aerodynamic wedges that some roofs have are not metal?

It’s important to me because ai haven’t had the roof done on my T6 yet. But I want the sharkfin. And if it works with the roof in that picture. Then that’s the roof for me! Except I don’t know what roof it is?

If the shark fin was left where it is on the metal and shrouded by the forward GRP fairing that is on many rising roofs like the SCA and Jerba then it would work fine. The GRP will be transparent to the radio signals for the most part.
Quite possibly a problem for HiLo and similar but then I am sure it would relocate without too much difficulty.
