Brought my T6 a few months ago and I’ve been sorting out the cosmetic stuff I wanted doing. It had a full body kit on when I brought it consisting of front, side and rear skirts. All the skirts are GRP/fibreglass, I have swapped the front out for a plastic standard lower spoiler and side skirts to side bars. What I’m having problems with is the rear skirt/valance. The paint on it as bubbled and as started coming off(see pics). My local garage I’ve had my bodywork done reckons that he can’t do anything with the rear skirt because all fibreglass will bubble and after a while cause the same issue.
So what I need to know can a GRP/fibreglass skirt be prepared and resprayed so this problem doesn’t come back.?
Or if not where can I purchase a reasonably affordable rear skirt from made of plastic.? Middle pic is the rear roof spoiler which shows the paint issue better. That’s been swapped for a plastic one.
