GTT front bumper

Hi everyone I finally fitted the GTT from bumper but I have to say there were various issues to deal with. The plates which fit at the bottom of the bumper which attach the fog lights and pick up the wheel arch covers are basically crap . The problem is it looks like they are 3D printed and the join to the wheel arch covers does not fit correctly, if you try to drill it to make a pilot hole for self tapping screws it just splits the only way to do it is with an old drill bit heated up with a blow lamp to melt a whole and use a two piece plastic rivet. Next issue the joint between the bumper and the wing is a total pig to fit together , I tried taking the bumper off to check for anything ( cables clips etc) which could be in the way but nothing I tried made any difference so end result I had to put some tiger seal in the gap .
Finally the bumper doesn’t pick up the front edge of the engine under tray and it has no bumper insert to go between the plastic bumper skin and the steel bumper on the van. Maybe I’m missing something here but the bumper I took off ( t6.1 face lift from Travelin lite )fitted fine no gaps anywhere .

Just came across this thread. I am looking at the GTT bumper myself. Were the issues on this one a one off / teething problems, or is quality questionable? @BognorMotors you’ve done a few now, seen any of these issues? Also wondering do people paint the gloss black parts? Some of the gloss black plastic doesn’t look nice for long so my gut says paint it even if black?

Cheers

Yes we’ve fitted lots and worked out how to get it to fit 100%. Happy to assist @Mickhar in any way we can help.
We’ve not painted the plastics but painted the inserts black on everyone.
