[Guide] How To Retrofit MFSW And Cruise Control To T6 Eu6 2019 Startline - Also Hacking DSG Paddles For CCS

Hi all,

Is anyone able to confirm whether the Kufatec kit is required if I've got a genuine T6 MFSW with its original airbag? Kufatec want 50€ for shipping to the UK, I'd rather not do that if I don't actually need it.

Would anyone with the kufatec instructions be able to provide me with them as well?

I've got some repairs wires for the T10 connection and the +12v/lin stuff at the dash end.

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Sam,

How soon are you doing the job? I've got the instructions, and the kufatec kit at home that I don't need anymore, that I could send you. Thing is I am offshore until 3rd March.

I have a 2018 T6 with CCS Stalk and want to fit a polo MFSW with CCS instead, could anyone assist with procedure

You will need buttons from a T6 and an airbag loom. Reading through this thread at the start will explain pretty much everything.
I can post a link of the loom you will need.
I would be more help but I never had ccs to start with or the stalks.
Got all mine working fine.
It will need coded in

Hi folks sorry to bring up an old thread.

Installed a MSFW a while ago but without Cruise control and @Deaky god bless him coded it and all stereo controls are working fine, undecided today to install the repair wire from t11 to the t10 connector.

I’ve borrowed a obdeleven and mfsw was already ticked, I’ve then gone into engine control module to activate cruise control and accidentally selected adaptive cruise, I’ve now got no cruise, and a flashing glow plug light, and I can’t revert it back haha.

Any ideas people
Might be better to post a help with OBeleven thread in the electrical section.
I’ve heard stories of theses hacks done through things like Carista can be difficult to undo.

Hi

Did the instructions ever get shared? Trying to hunt down a copy as have the cables but no instructions.

thanks

Hi guys please help me out with my cruise retrofit in my 2019 EUR6 T6.

My van was already equipped with a MFSW so i bought a set of buttons, installed the T41 to T10 wire and and coded everything.

Now when i start my van and push the cruise button it turns on with --- mark in the instrument. The plus and minus buttons also work but when i drive and try to set the cruise it won't react to the set button.

So what i did is the following:

Checked 09 for live data. it shows the actual buttons pushed and sees every button (set/res/cancel/+/-) everything works.

So i checked 01 for reasons why it won't set the cruise control. All parameters show OK exept for one.

driveline coordinator: shutdown reason SRS/ACC function: speed signal failure during initialization

So this is driving me nuts for a few days now.

The cruise control did work when the LIN line was attached to PIN 17 on the bcm. The windows didn't work and then i did find out there was a separete LIN for the MFSW.
I've put the door modules back on pin 17 and the LIN to the steering wheel is now on 36.

Coding is done right. 09 has the bit 29 byte 7 checked. I don't have any codes stored.

Someone can point me in the right direction?

Yes i've done that. If i untick the bit 29 bit 7 the cruise won't turn on anymore

This problem is resolved after changing the coding of 17. Someone messed up the speed index coding.

I had a major difference in GPS speed and actual speed. after adapting the coding in the instrument everything works fine!

Big brained people of the forum, I have a question and I think here is the best place to ask it.

I want to do a MFSW retrofit on my Startline T6, but do not want to fit CCS. Is it the same process as chasing wires back to the BCM, or is a standard MFSW for radio controls plug and play?

Apologies if this has already been answered, but I can’t seem to find an answer when searching!

did anyone retrofitted golf 8 touch mfsw to T6 with ACC? looking for emulator/adapter
I just installed this with a polo 2023 flat bottom steering wheel, it has acc buttons but can be used with normal ccs for my t6. the configuration tool had option for ACC and touch buttons so should work

You can contact him directly on Facebook for cheaper price, you can find the same tool on marketplace.

Hello guys! I have a 2019 euro6 T6 with CC on stalks from factory.. But i have a problem.. I have installed a MFSW, everything is working (horn, illumination, volume up and down ect) but i get a ! cruise control error showing up and check engine light.. I have the MFSW without CC/ACC and i'd like to keep the CC working on the stalks.. Do i have to do something in coding or remove/depin a wire? I have ran wires from pin 9/10 and spliced them to black cable light switch and spliced to pin 36 on the BCM..

*EDIT: I've read a few threads and i also figured i still need to depin pin 11 (brown/yellow horn wire) but i don't think this will solve the problem above?

You should check the faults in vcds first...
Did you set these as per the guide on first page:
BCM 09:
Set Byte 09, Bit 3 Tells BCM a MFSW is installed
Set Byte 29, Bit 6 Tells the BCM to use pin 36 on T73b for MFSW LIN Bus

Hello! Yes i did.. Otherwise the steering wheel wouldn't work.. Everything works just the CC on the stalk doesn't work anymore and i get a ! mark on the MFD.. I've read on a different thread that if you want to have the CC on stalk working i have to use pin 17 instead of 36?

If you are sure you coded everything correctly then you could try pin 17.
That's how I had to install my cruise control with the newer style steering wheel, using an MQB to PQ25 converter. The emulator simulates stalk button presses. In my case, I tried pin 36 and cruise control would not work. I switched to pin 17 and everything started to work. If you switch to pin 17, don't forget to Set Byte 29, Bit 6 to 0 instead of 1.
