Has anybody removed the headlamp lens to paint chrome trim

Hi..has anybody seperated a T6 led headlamp cover in order to change the chrome trim colour?

Its extremely difficult to separate the halves, they are bonded together in a way that does not promote splitting, not impossible but very difficult and expensive if you f*** it up

I seperated my T5.1 lamps..not bad a job. Not led though, just dont like the chrome insert.
