Help: Either Top Mount Or Spring Gone

These are Eibach Pro Street Coilovers so may be different to others, same poke out both sides.
The noise has stopped now I've tightened the link nuts up as much as I can.
That doesn't explain the movement in the top washer as video above though > glad you found the noise . but the movement shouldn't be there ??

The installation guide says to use the original nut, not the one that it comes with, so I followed the instructions, the nut that is on there is the one that I took off the last set, though they were Van Slam's that were fitted by Salop Vans so I don't know if they used anything different to the original damper set up.

The amount of thread poking through on that picture looks normal so not sure why you have so little showing on the top of yours its normally 20 to 25 mm bare thread once assembled .

Right so this never got sorted annoyingly as I’m waiting for the koni sport shocks to come into stock and have them fitted however I’ve tried to take a vid (well my son did) but I feel it’s top mounts for sure

how do I post vids up?

Have someone shake the car (push hard to get it to rock from side to side) while you go around it and work out where it's coming from. If nothing else it will be a good workout for them.
Easier to work out where a noise is coming from when it''s stationary and there are no road or engine noises to get in the way.
Noises could be door locks and stops not tight, Rubber bonnet stops not out far enough so bonnet is knocking on the latch, suspension bolts not tight, wheel nuts not tight, ARB chassis mounts as well as drop links, Damper mount bolts/nuts not tight etc etc

That’s just it, I’ve shock it stationary and can’t replicate it

Some MoT testing stations have vibrating plates on their lifts to check for suspension wear, could you try to get it up on one to see if you can isolate the knock location whilst using one of these?

Will try and get it into one, I’m planning of changing the suspension anyways so will do top mounts etc then. If it’s still kicking about then, will set fire to it

Sounds like the top mounts have gone, mine is in the garage at the moment having them replaced and adjustable bushes.
me and the garage had a good shake and pry to see if anything was loose

Yep changed it and it’s fine, the old mount looked bang on so very very odd

Very strange indeed , mine was split on drivers side and making a right racket and passenger side was on its way out

Totally but I don’t drink or smoke so why not ;)
