Help fixing a broken rock’n’roll bed needed!

I have an issue with the locking mechanism on my rock’n’roll bed.

It is a cable operated system (push the bed down to force a metal hook into the catch which holds the bed down; pull a lever which operates a cable and it releases the catch).

I have taken it back to the manufacturer/installer, but after adjustment it has failed again. I have been trying to contact them for the last 2mths, but no response.

Is there anyone out there who could help me salvage this bed please? I don’t care what the answer is or how much it costs - I just need to be able to put my bed down in my van!

I’m really desperate, so anyone with the engineering know-how and will to help me would be massively appreciated. Located in Wiltshire but will travel anywhere to get this sorted!

Any idea of the make? Sounds like how mine used to be. I visited Fabworx who manufacture them and they removed the cable system and installed a strap to pull to release it back to a seat. They said they didn't use the cable system any more and the strap was an upgrade.

Ah thank you, that’s super useful.
It is manufactured by the place that installed it (don’t want to publicly name), but it is their design and they are the ones not getting back to me!
Will defo give Fabworx a shout and see what they can suggest. Thank you

If you have not received the service that you should have it’s good to warn others from making the same mistake.
Agree - but I know that the company is no longer making this style of bed (maybe for a reason?) so it is a bit of a moot point…

I will do more digging over the next week and try and find out if they are still trading (which may explain the silence) and then update accordingly
