I am new member and also waiting for my new t6 transporter.
I wanted to ask members here if you know where i can have tie rod fitted for wheelchairs for my new t6 transporter shuttle.
And how much am i looking at spending.
I would be grateful of any information.

Thanks t6dave for reply.
Its to get wheel chair passengers in from side passenger door.
So will have to take 2 single seats out to get wheelchair in.
Then it will have to be clipped in a tie rod for to secure wheelchair. (Like the london cabs).
Its like a floor mount 4 circles on the vehiclr floor.

Sorry not tie rods they are called tie downs

Thank you so much t6dave.
Would you know if they do the fittings or would i have to find another place to fit the tie downs.
How much would this set me back?

No ideas mate, give the contact number at the bottom a call, as they will probably have a specific kit for the VW as is a common WAV, they also will know of installers etc in your area, or at least will give you a start.. Remember as well that it will be VAT exempt if for a member of your family.. Note as well, you need it fitted by an installer/converter for certification and insurance.. If you don't mind me asking, have you got/ordered the vehicle, and is it for you or the user? And are they a family member?

Sorry for being late. Its for my work as a taxi driver.
I need to show the council the vehicle can take wheelchair passengers with proper secure points.
I wanted to find out if other member have gone thru this route and roughly how much it will cost.
I am grateful for your help.
I should be getting my t6 in june/july some time. So fingers crossed
