Hi guys,

I've recently had my electric hook-up and leisure battery installed :) However it has developed some errors now. When i turn the ignition on I get a warning about the ESC and start-stop. I plugged carista in have four warnings, I've tried both clearing and resetting but no joy so far. Here are the fault codes and the full ECU diagnostic report. Thanks for reading

I think the culprit is the above - it's offline. Does your start/stop switch work? Does the headlight dipper/flasher switch work? They all are fed via fuse SC32 - under dash fuse box. Center row. Approx. 5th slot from top. 7.5A.

Thanks for the suggestion, the start stop button is still working as is the light flash on the stalk. I haven't swapped the fuse as I haven't any spares.
Cheers Liam

The towbar module takes a can connection, it’s possible when tapping into can wires that the cables to angle sensor have been disturbed/disconnected ?

Obviously that would have been too easy :(. As above remains CAN bus disconnect/disturbance somewhere (as it's not seen by CAN gateway).

Cheers chaps. An easy fix would have been amazing, alas no. Have you any suggestions on how to fault find the CAN bus/streering angle sensor?

Also fuse SC51 - 5 Amps is related to Steering Angle Sensor. Right column (top slot is 59) approx. 9 down. Should be the last small one . Actually all the slots have molded numbers - though very small.

For a module to disappear off the CAN network then there are only limited possibilities i can think off
1 - Power to the module has failed
2 - CAN signal to the module has failed
3 - The module has been unplugged
4 - The module is faulty/dead

You need to check there is a 12v supply getting to the angle sensor to power it, if there is then check the CANBUS cables supplying it (probably starting from the point the towbar canbus was joined in)

Where was the towbar can joined (im guessing under the steering wheel which is where the angle sensor is located) and how were they joined ie solder spliced onto cables or were the original cables cut and crimped together with the new ones ??

No updates other than the fuse was good. I'm unsure how to check the rest of the suggestions. I'll just take it in I think.

We have found that we had a missing fuse, not sure what number but it was a 5amp on the right hand side of the fuse box
