ICE Upgrade????

I have played various car sounds through my stereo before...! Small block Hemi is still my favourite.

A guy in Galicia put a Subaru engine in his T3: sounded pretty nice through a fairly free flowing exhaust system.

Much as I love our T6 and it's improved engine, it still sounds pretty cack.

Maybe Pauly could do a soundtrack download centre in the shop? I wonder what a ford mustang v8 shelby sounds like?

Pretty good but I like the 60s V8s best.

Oh and the Carrera GT V10 plus that Lexus LFA.
And the 911 GT3 RS 4.0.
And the M3 CSL on full chat.
And the F Type R.

The trouble is, your average Tesla now blitzes most things off the line.

Tame - best you'll get out of one of them is low 11s @ 120

You might like "Blackcurrant" bug that is down into the mid 8s @ 150+

But fuel cars and bikes were in the 6s 30 years ago when I was still part of it and today even gassers are into the 8s

I was talking more street cars; seen vids of Teslas blasting 458s and similar into the weeds.

Never got it built - ended up spending all my spare time organising other people's entertainment

I did tech for NDRC from 1974 then on committee and doing PR from 1978 to 1986ish.

hi guys i am thinking of upgrading the speakers in the dash of the t6 , could you advise me please what to get , also i am thinking of upgrading the 2 rear speakers in the rear trail door which i got fitted , BUT there is not a great sound of the ones that were fitted beforhand , ALSO i am going to dead sound the trail door , THE 2 door speakers i am going to leave them as its 2 much hassle in trying to upgrade them , IF SOME ONE COULD ADVISE ME THAT WOULD BE GREAT TKS i was looking at these on ebay BUT I GUESS they would be not much better than the ones i have in !! The t5 had dash speakers.
There are no dash speakers in the t6. The tweeters are in the a-pillars and the mids are in the doors.
Replace both with a 6.5" or 8" componant set.

TKS polzylad , i really do not want to start changing the speakers in the doors , as there is a lot of work involved , but i do not mind changing the tweeters in the pillers and also changing the speakers in the real tail door , also i could sound deaden the trail door also , may i ask what tweeters could i get to replace the ones that are there ,, OR REALLY would i need to do the doors also to be any good ! tks

The mids in the front doors are the most important speakers in the whole system. They play the most frequency that the human ear translates as depth and stereo width and determine how high the sound stage is.

Plus the door cards are so easy to take off. Really is a 20 min job to remove.

If you have electric mirrors its easier to lift the mirror controls switches up out of the door card and unplug before you remove the door card itself (pink arrow in picture).
Door card has a couple half turn plastic lugs under the bottom compartment (kneel down and look up under door card you will see them, blue and yellow arrow pointing up)
There are three (i think) concealed clip down each side of the door (yellow arrows pointing in but arrow are approximate places) and the upper edge is hooked over the top of the door so you need to swing the bottom out until all clips are out then lift the door card up and away

Front speakers are nearly at the top of my "next thing to do list". Anyone recommend best speaker upgrades, mounting rings etc?
