Ah, there's a cap nut sticking up under the seat, you'll know what I mean when you see it. clean the paint off and I fitted a ring connector on the ground wire

Ok thx I been putting the earth on the drivers seat nut underneath but no joy
you got any photos of how its currently wired and the ground nut you've been using
I took it all out gonna start again tomorrow
