Use the vacuum cleaner and, with the narrow/tapered-end tool, elastic-band some of her tights / muslin cloth over the end and suck away
Are we still talking about the key retrieval here?

OK, daylight brings... No joy - you can't see it with the naked eye, camera phone - you can't get your phone in at the right angle...
Dyson nozzle doesn't fit, I'm not responding re tights, sucking away etc!!
I have some large cable ties - wrapped stick tape around - fits down - but simply can't locate where the key is/key isn't sticking...
Yes I can order a new key, but it's that I know it's there and if only I could reach it nag...
I've ordered the rubber seal, I think I have to fit that and leave it in the abyss....
I would hate to think what older vans are harboring down there, although there could be many riches...
Thanks all, some interesting ideas. My fingers are literally bruised trying to squeeze into that gap but no joy - I did contemplate the kids hands, but trying to explain it in A&E wasn't worth the risk!

Daft design really, but I guess the T6 needs at least 1 drawback.
That’s what I was going to suggest. I've got a cheap endoscope that I got from eBay that connects to a tablet and is ideal for this sort of thing, then you could use it to guide something sticky towards it.will a cavity wall camera fit if so a least you wont be fishing blind

Beware though, I believe Satan or some other type of monster lives in that void
put a small pipe, like 6mm fridge water pipe, or a plastic straw, taped onto the end of your Dyson nozzle.
I gave it some thought whilst I was out washing it this morning..This one has you in deep thought today @Loz
You missing your Bee's?
As andys says get a USB Android Endoscope Camera, they even come with a hook attachment for this exact purpose. I have one connected to an old android phone for when I'm working in the garage and use it instead of an inspection mirror at times.
