Is my van ULEZ / Clean Air compatible?

Hi I have a T6 registered in November 2015, I understood that this would be exempt from the clean air charges as all vehicles registered after September were exempt.
Is this not correct?
Thanks
The early T6s did not have AdBlue or a DPF but they are still Euro 6 or at least mine is and that was built on 14th April 2016. It is exempt from all emission zones according to the Government website. The fuel filler area has the taller flap and the position for the AdBlue filler top but the rubber part simply has no hole for that in it.

I don't know when the AdBlue system was first installed on UK T6s but suspect it was for the 2017 model year beginning nominally on the 1st August 2016.

Mine’s a May ‘16 T6 that is Euro 5 - no AdBlue. It definitely has a DPF. It shows up as non-ULEZ compliant on all websites.

Before the scheme was paused, you could get a grant to upgrade these in Manchester. I looked into it, but my T5 was too old (no DPF). So I had to get a new van.

Hopefully this will never effect me as York isn’t likely to go ULEZ. I looked that up before I bought the van.

Just reading this post and wondered - does adblue mean that it is a euro 6 engine? I am trying to work out if mine is euro 6 - it was bought 3 years ago under that description but it is only now with the london ULEZ expansion I’ve needed to check.
Cheers,
Cliff

Adblue is normally a sign of Euro6 derv. Ie T6 onwards.

The T5/T5.1(plus early T6) was euro5 with no adblue.

...

It all relates to the emissions of the vehicle.

....

Our 2013 derv Mazda cx5 is ulez compliant as it exceeds the euro6 standards even way back then...... so the v5 doc doesn't state EU6, but we don't pay the ulez.for it.

As above try the gov ulez checker and see what it says.

Thanks for the reply….I do appreciate it @Dellmassive - mine is a April 2016 T6 Bluemotion and it does have Adblue…..I have a personal plate on it and the TfL site says I am not compliant….the gov.uk site says I am ok in all the other ULEZ type zones.

I’m a little confused - I either pay on the odd occasion I drive to visit family or I try and get the info held updated / I challenge it.

Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Many thanks, Cliff

@ceejbee see this post..

on the TfL website mentioned above to where you check your registration against their database, there is a link you can click on:
You need to register your vehicle with us if you believe it meets the required standards for ULEZ or LEZ.
That page explains how you can send TfL a copy of your V5 - along with a homologation certificate from the vehicle manufacturer - to demonstrate it meets the Euro 6 standard.

For our 2004 Ford Focus 1.6 petrol I simply uploaded a scan of page 2 of the V5, as that showed the CO emissions fell beneath the threshold for Euro 6.
For my 2003 Honda CBR - which didn’t have any data against the emissions parameters printed on the V5 - I uploaded a homologation certificate that Honda provided free of charge.

The TfL reply (shown on the linked post) then followed and both vehicles were driven in and out of London without issue.

when you do finally get TFL to change/update their information on your van, request a letter or email confirming they have done the info update, then from then on, just ignore every ulez fine that comes though the door, which they probably will. I’ve had this battle with a 2019 van and private plate, eventually they get their act together, they are totally useless and incompetent, good luck
@Green Giant I imagine the letter they sent me is a standard response, so I doubt it needs to be requested per se

When I was getting fined I spoke to TFL on the phone and was assured over the phone their records had been updated, then I got another fine, weeks later, so after many attempts to contact them again, I asked for a letter as proof they had sorted it, as my evidence if it happened again, I was on auto pay and never got my money refunded,, Khan owes me,
