On its wayMorning - Jason @Absolut5 would you be able to PM me a quote for the fitting kit for the 8019? I have a 2016 Highline, I’ve rear parking sensors but no camera and a MFSW. Many thanks.
The 8019 came out as wireless apple CarPlay only, then the 8020 came out with licensed wireless android auto, which connects and works better .. yes the 8019 can do as updates improved it but no guarantee it will workHi,
I'm looking to purchase either the DMX8020DAB or DMX8019DAB for my T5.1 Sportline. From what I can see they both support wireless Android Auto, what is the pros and cons or difference of these units?
Thanks in advance
8019has twin usb, the 8020 graphics are newer, we find the menus superb , intuitive compared to other brandsPersonally, I ruled the 8019 out a long time ago as it only had one USB input but when the 8020 came out, I found that it had two and therefore decided to bite the bullet. I don't know much more about the 8019 but even with OEM speakers, the 8020 sounds much nicer than the original WW Colour Composition thing that came with the van. Mind you, that's a very good thing as I find it's menu system a real pain in the 4rse to navigate around - If I'm honest, I don't usually do user manuals but in the end had to have a look as I thought I was missing something significant but, no, it's just not particularly good user interface to work with. I suspect the 8019 is the same or quite similar.
8019 works fine on wireless android auto, been running it for probably 3 years now, no problemThe 8019 came out as wireless apple CarPlay only, then the 8020 came out with licensed wireless android auto, which connects and works better .. yes the 8019 can do as updates improved it but no guarantee it will work
Would you be able to send me a quote for either the 8019/8020 with facia etc for a 66 t6 shuttle please8019has twin usb, the 8020 graphics are newer, we find the menus superb , intuitive compared to other brands
Does your Shuttle have factory parking sensors and audio controls on the steering wheel?Would you be able to send me a quote for either the 8019/8020 with facia etc for a 66 t6 shuttle please
No neither so I'm presuming it's a trendline? Not picked it up yet. Will be looking to get a mfsw too soon though hopefullyDoes your Shuttle have factory parking sensors and audio controls on the steering wheel?
Will pm break down , best to get it mfsw ready so you won’t need to remove the headunit againNo neither so I'm presuming it's a trendline? Not picked it up yet. Will be looking to get a mfsw too soon though hopefully
Pm will be with you shortlyHi, could you please pm me a price for me to install in a 2017 Highline, with MFSW and rear parking sensors. The camper converter fitted extra speakers in the rear so I don't know how/where he connected them. How much wiring is involved? Is it just a case of converting connectors to the right type? Also, I currently have a wireless rear camera to my separate garmin satnav. Can you get wireless cameras to connect to the Kenwood or do they have to be wired? Many thanks.
Hi @Absolut5 … after speaking with and getting great advice from Noel the other week, I have received my fitting kit, speakers, reversing, cam & Sharkfin from you (thanks) and set about installing today.
I’ve got the 8019, speakers & tweeters installed and ran the cabling for the reverse cam and sharkfin (fitting of them will be next weekend). Stereos working and speakers sound great… but my steering wheel controls don’t work and I can’t get my factory reverse parking sensor to display?!?
I’m thinking it’s because of the adapter in the pic… is this supposed to connect to the back of the stereo? .. as it does not appear to fit! … it looks very similar, but I couldn’t get it to plug in. What am I doing wrong here?
Many thanks, Andy
Update: All sorted … I pulled stereo out again and was a bit more forceful with connector and Boom! In it went … parking sensors, NFS etc all working
