I recommend to read VW SSP 493 & Audi SSP 294.

We have KESSY on our Skoda (so the same VAG system as any other VAG vehicle) and it’s a waste of time. I’m seriously considering delving into VCDS to see if I can disable it.

Good evening I managed to correct my problem regarding the error message (basic setting) and now the car opens with as before but I can not operate the tailgate with the vip function so open easy. There are coding to be done and adapted

If it’s anything like the KESSY system on our Skoda, I’d pay extra NOT to have it. Never again.

Seems like this retrofit thread attracts a lot of positive attention, but definitely it's not for everyone.

Interesting mod.

But not for me, too much Of a security risk in London. To gain entry. (Relay attack). Thou is suppose they won't be expecting it to be keyless anyway.


But I see you opted to still keep the steering key lock.
