Kombi Bed Search Quest

Yea I do like that setup! Not sure if the storage would be big enough though . My main problem is I can’t really decide how I want it to end up .

Have you seen ‘cymrucamperfurniture’ on Instagram? Looks an exact copy of ‘van furniture’ but a bit more of a tailored fit.. looks nice
Another one that I've come across escapade_joinery. Chatting to the chap there. Very helpful.

How did your conversation go with escapade? I’ve been looking at The Ply Guys Torridon, his stuff looks very similar in style and design. I wonder how prices compare?

I owe the thread an update. I ordered from them and got them just before I went on my holidays.

He was great to deal with. I did some simple diagrams for him to follow and he did it to spec. I wanted mine a little different to the usual. The back of the bench is a short wheel combi length and has a 1.4m drawer. Then there is an extra section at the front. That means if I want I can lift the front bit out and slip the back seats back in and also let's me leave a single back seat in. On the left side I kept that quite light weight and I have fastened it in with thumb screws so I can use the van width when I want.

It's only a screen shot of what I sent but hopefully it gives an idea. I post a few more pics later. Just stuck the floor covering in and I did sound proofing and speaker upgrade while I was waiting. Cushions next...

Everything they do is bespoke really so it wasn't a huge difference. It was couple hundred quid more for the right side but a lot of that was me asking for the 1.4m rails for the drawers rather than the bespoke aspect. The left side worked out cheaper than many options I looked at because I kept it basic. I plan to nab the plyguys idea and put some bungies across the opening to hold stuff in or something similar. Overall. Marginally more than the flat pack options I looked at and not as much as the plyguys but with the benefit of bespoking on top. I did speak to the plyguys and there was no option to bespoke.

One thing I will add. If you have twin doors most don't seem to account for the door pilar I had to take a little out.

Also worth noting. Buffalo board will move you closer to plyguys pricing.
Thanks for the info. Is that a complete replacement floor or something on top of the Kombi rubber floor? I do like the look of the buffalo board.... Lots to ponder.
