Leak inside sliding door

Just wondering if anyone has noticed this issue or has had the same.
I recently noticed that I get water ingress / leak from inside the sliding door after rain.
I'm not entirely sure how it's getting in and I'm not sure of the component name but It seems to be coming from the latch or the part that assists in sliding the door.
The van is right hand drive and the sliding door is on the passenger side, so if you look at the sliding door from inside the van, it's on the left within the door cavity.
I don't have any windows in the sliding door.
It's a 2019 panel van.

VW have said that it's normal to have a degree of water ingress but I'm struggling to accept that as this lets in water consistently, doesn't have to be heavy rain.

Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks in advance

You did well to identify the route in, one of many leak points.

Have you seen that?
Thank you, could be similar. I'll investigate further.

Still interested if anyone else had the same or similar issue. I can't exactly locate where it's coming through, quite an awkward spot to try and see.

I'm not convinced by VW saying that this is normal

Hi did you get this sorted, I have the exact same thing, it’s under warranty and going in to be looked at, at the dealers, along with other leaks

Hi, sorry the late response.
I never got it sorted as such, VW said that water ingress is normal hence why there are drainage holes.

The way I've tried to tackle it is by diverting the water that runs down between the C pillar and the sliding door.
I stuck a short piece of self adhesive rubber seal above the latch on the C pillar to stop the water reaching the sliding door latch.

I'll post a pic on here this evening to show you what I mean.

On another note, discovered a different leak on the D pillar last night

This image shows both pieces of D shape seal with the sliding door partially closed. When the sliding door is closed, the two pieces of D shape seal sit one above the other just as extra measure for diverting water away.
Seems to have worked for me.
