LED lighting bars with poptop bed

Has anyone done a halo roof or bars of led lights instead of the usual downlighters along the sides?

I've been experimenting with a flexible led strip we use in the awning before we finish the interior of our pop top install:

It means ech individual pixel in the strip can be a different colour, hence the moving rainbow (although I couldn't post a video in the forum)

As before, I have the cmos switches so they'll come on white when the courtesy lights come on when we open a door, if we want.

It already makes the interior seem bigger when you sit in it.

Hi, just taken delivery of my T6 and was investigating adding LED strips to the opo up section and came across your post. Please can you tell me the LED strips you used as all the ones I've found so far have a large profile that would potentially get in the way while sleeping. Thanks

Hi, they were COB lighting strips from eBay and then I bought the aluminium channels from another LED supplier.

I have a line coming out of the standard rocker light unit which is live (-ve) when the rocker is on the middle or override side, and that goes into the cmos input side. I think I posted a diagram once

However, that was using chattery relays and those white lights. I haven't finished hooking up the led strip to them again. My led strip is addressable so it won't come on on white, it will come on on the last programme or the first programme. So probably why I haven't gone back and sorted it. I have still to finish the trim round the led strip

I’m currently looking at these. Many of the cob leds I saw elsewhere were 24v.

My LEDs don't work well, in spite of the look of the above. I'm running them off 5V using my drone battery charging pack and the voltage drop by the end of the run means they don't run white. I don't have leisure power yet as our solar setup is used in the awning. On 12v I expect they will work fine, that's the other reason I've just paused the install
