LED ribbon / strip light advice for house

Just re-vamping sons bedroom and want to install some of the 3 colour ribbon LED lights usually used in kitchens.

We need 3 maybe 4 sections of LEDs joined by cables with a controller to select the colours. Max 6 meters of lighting.



There seems a plethora of suppliers / makes on the internet so difficult to make a choice. Any recommendations / advice based on your install? Budget circa £100 ideally a bit less.

and decide if you want just plane RGB. - Amazon.co.uk : rgb led ribbon

or if you want the newer DREAM Full colour stuff. - Amazon.co.uk : dream rgb led ribbon

then decide how you powering it?

will it be via a 3pin plug? - get a kit with 3pin PSU

or wired into the lighting switch on the wall> get a separate 12v LED driver and wire in. - Amazon.co.uk : 12v led driver

Spotless cob strip is the way to go. Easiest to buy in 5m rolls.
Some are 12v and some 24v drivers.
Ultraleds.co.uk have a great website.

Hi …When we did the small bedroom we fitted new sockets with USB connections…then as @Dellmassive said …Amazons the place…we paid less Than £20 and got something like this….simply plug in USB ( and acts as phone charger )

I didn't think you could buy 3 colour COB strip.

If its going to be the only lighting then make sure you get RGBW so you have a white option
