Looking for 12V COB RGBW LED lighting strip

I have been searching unsuccessfully all over the internet for some 12V RGBW (not warm white) COB lighting strip to fit in the van.

However it seems not to be out there. :(

I can find loads of single colour white strips.

Also there seems to be a lot of 24V RGBW COB strips.

So has anyone found an RWBW COB sat 12V or is the only option to fit a 12V to 24V converter and use a set of the 12V COB lights.
If so any recommendations for the converter?

Thanks

Have you looked at “simple lighting “. I have led rgb strips the shorter ones are12v longer runs are 24 v, but run from 230 v converters. Simple lighting will make the strips to length and can supply the converter and controller with remote control. They now do the cob strips also.

Thanks, just had a look on their site. I can't find any 12V RGBW COB strips though.

Ok thought they might be worth a look. I’ve not bought from them since I did my conversion in 2022. I run the led strips from the 230 v so need to be on ehu but works fine for us. I don’t suppose it would make much sense to run them from an inverter 12vdc to 230vac to 24 v dc. I like the look of the cob strips ,mine are in the 17 mm channeling which does diffuse the led dots so not going to upgrade to the cob strips anytime soon.IMG_0223.jpeg

I’m having a little trip over to SCR shortly to see about a couple of sets of their RGB cob lights.
I’ll update later on the outcome.

Well I’m really impressed with the cob lights from SCR. So I’ve bought 2x5m lengths and the Bluetooth controller.
Just test fired them in the cellar on a 12v LB and they are BRIGHT.
They are really continuous with 720 leds per metre, and even when you are about one foot away from them you can’t make out the individual leds, and the app works them pretty well.
They are going to be fitted around the underside of the pop top roof.
Only caveat is that they are IP 30 rated so not waterproof in any way. However, unless it rains upwards I’m hoping they’ll be ok.IMG_6859.jpegIMG_6860.jpeg

Sound good. Will check them out at Busfest if you don’t mind :)

Hi @Bigsidavies did you get these fitted? How are you liking them so far? I'm thinking of going with these strips down either side of the poptop (facing down into the van) as my main lighting - do you think they're bright enough to work for this?

I tend to use the BTF-Lighting branded stuff when building things with WLED (Christmas lighting displays and stuff for the theatre shows) as it's a generally reliable generic brand without too much of a price premium.

I thought this was for internal lighting
Does it have a dimmer function ?
Yes, you can dim it on the app. I have 2.1metres left and have bought another Bluetooth controller. This will be going inside under the worktop I think.
