Like purple I’m not expecting this to be to everyone’s taste (in fact we still aren’t 100% sure after 3 years!) but like the fact that it’s bright inside and livens up an otherwise standard config.

Variety is the spice of life!
Love an orange/grey colour scheme. I have an orange canvas and on a sunny morning EVERYTHING looks orange - even up to 30 mins after exiting the van!!!!:grin bounce:

We were advised by the converter not to go for an orange canvas on the poptop for exactly the same reason! :)

Now have orange kettle, orange utensils, orange sun canopy and an orange thermal cover for the poptop. I’m not allowed to put orange bits on the outside and we still haven’t agreed how much orange is on the seats when we get them reupholstered.

Dear god that's awful, no offence intended but it's purple.
Yes it’s purple. So is half the paint on the outside.
I’ve even got a matching purple kettle.
I like purple !!
I get that it’s not everyone’s taste and even mentioned that.
My granny used to say if you don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing at all.
Your granny mustn’t have been as wise as mine. ;)
Anyway let’s see pics of your interior??

I think you at least have to admire his honesty. We just get a lot of people saying “its very orange isn’t it”

If I didn’t like something I would say something like “yeh your right not to my taste.”
Rather than dear god that’s awful. But hey ho.
There’s always one !
The world would be very drab if we all like the same things.

I was worried about it initially and even considered buying a pop-top cover to calm things down, but we found it didn't bother us. In fact it's really great to wake up to bright orange - it's a colour that has a really positive impact on mood (at least it has for me).

@ReturnoftheMac back to the point though, layouts aside (and I think @ShooglyStu blue one is the lost innovative so far) unless you are building something to sell the decisions on materials, colours etc (maybe layout too) should be a reflection your own personal style and taste. That’s the beauty of this
Vive la difference!

Our cover cuts out all the light that comes through the canvas (even though the canvas grey) and it makes it really dark inside even with the window on the front

Here’s my very DIY layout

L shape sliding bed from Van Furniture.
Fabric cube storage unit with a DIY wood frame surround.
Shelf contains the fridge and Jackery battery and boxed in unit contains camping gas stove & EHU cable.
Camping chairs, awning, beach tent etc all slotted in the back corner/under the shelf.

Our huge paddle board lives under the back seat, then bedding and other paddle board accessories under the side seat.

My fave part is the cube storage. If anything needs restocking or taking indoors for any reason, it’s really easy to just lift out the little baskets and take them wherever.

And another favourite is having windows all around. Feels spacious and light.

Good use of space.
How’s the bare metal for condensation?

Few pics of mine.
Standard layout but a bit different.
Won’t be to everyone’s taste but I love it.
Favourite bit is the homemade potty/poofy.
It’s an invaluable extra seat for the other side of the main table.
And is perfect for sitting on cooking or doing the dishes.
Also like the passengers captains table.
Doubles up as a wee bar for outside and is so simple to fit and store.
Some pics before I fitted drivers swivel seat and purple VW logo on ceiling. View attachment 225902View attachment 225903View attachment 225904View attachment 225905View attachment 225906
