Lots of body roll…..

Driving round wales this weekend and I’m really noticing a lot of body roll. T28 fully converted, sagging at the rear etc.

I’ve got some t32 springs coming but I guess a must upgrade has to be H&R ARB’s.

It’s got me thinking, I was going to have 25mm spacers fitted to lift the van, but maybe a better option is the SoLo lift suspension. And H&R ARB’s ? They are adjustable at the rear.

Does the SoLo kit come with stiffer springs than what’s on a standard t28?

Upgraded suspension will always help with body roll, with better control and ride. And you can always take it one step further with one of my favourite upgrades - H&R ARBs- they really upgrade the ride in regards to body roll and steering feel.

The Solow LFT is a great height adjustable Coilover kit - we actually have a demo van running this kit so you can try before you buy. All of our suspension is offered on a while you wait service completed with a full Hunter alignment.

I'd be inclined not to uprate the ARBs in isolation as that increases the tendency to under/oversteer. That's part of the reason the T32 has different dampers.

I'd go to someone, such as BM, get the suspension upgraded as a package rather than cherry pick bits and risk trading one undesirable characteristic for another. Youre deffo thinking along the right lines.

For my own part I don't find roll a concern with my full conversion, but being an old school Class 1 driver I'm very smooth and progressive on all the controls, unlike the point-and-squirt style of driving that seems to have emerged this last 25 years.

Do not waste money on A R Bs untill you do the shocks.

Roll bars limit body roll by increasing the effective spring rate in a corner only , It wont make the steering feel lighter !!! but the shocks need to be able to control the additional stiffness of the increased spring rates . Pogo affect is what happens if you fit roll bars with standard shocks .

Your springs are on their way .
