Lowering And Wheel Alignment Issues?

@CRS Performance

Cheers Steve - your input / comments are really appreciated.
I'm currently sat on -40mm H&R springs fitted by the original converter with standard issue Vw dampers.
At the time it was the best combination I could afford during the van purchase & money pit conversion
All 4.5 years young, at approx 22,000 miles
I'll measure arch gaps as soon as I can, but that will probably be this weekend.

Visually, it definitely sits back end heavy:

Don't know if you can remember me, but I'm the T6 driver who has already bought off you H&R arbs, drilled Nutexa discs / pads (front & rear) & have new powder coated 340mm flavour calipers/carriers for the front & the same coloured calipers/carriers for the rears.
Now I've nearly saved up some more GBP's, I'll be calling on your fitting skills early next year to install all, along with whatever flavour new springs & new dampers to suit.
Hopefully your Hunter will be up & working in your new place then, for you to breath your technical expertise (spanners & big hammer) on my Bus?
If the control arm bushes need changing, can these be done at that time or is it best to run over to you to do now?
Our alignment bay is now commissioned , we didn’t go the hunter route , it isn’t flexible enough for some of the low vehicles we want to be checking , and sometimes we do settings outside normal parameters , the new system allows us to program our own settings . It’s brilliant at setting up the power flex adjustable bushes particularly the rear .
we remember your journey so far and compliment you on your patience waiting to get the ARB s fitted. Ha ha

I’ve been all over Poole and Bournemouth, even went as far as Southampton to a specialist (yeah right) and I’ve come to the conclusion that nobody down this way has a f***ing clue how to use a Hunter or how to setup adjustable polybushes.

I don’t have the time to go to Bognor and get it done properly, but driving at 12:10 is really pissing me off and no doubt ruining another set of tyres
I use Denmead Tyre Services. Bit of a trek for you but maybe worth a call if you are struggling. My tyre wear is very even and I’m down about 60-65mm.

We look forward to seeing you soon. Kettle is always on ;-)

There isn’t anything that is suitable for the height you have unfortunately . It would have to be developed and because we don’t do those super low drops we wouldn’t invest time and money into that.

Hang on a moment..

Now correct me if I’m wrong, jumping from one post to another post. You are saying to one person that you don’t invest time and money into developing due to you not doing those “super low” drops, yet you had to go out and spend money (investing correct me if I’m wrong??) into an alignment machine to be checking low vehicles.

Mate, you should get yourself a job as a politician with some of the porkies you’ve been firing out over the forum and Facebook.

I have a T6.1. T32 LWB, 40mm H&R lowering springs.
After installation, at 3000 miles, the combined toe of the rear wheels was 0degr/13min and camber left rear -1degr/44min, right rear -1degr/54min.

The rear tires had some increased wear on the inside after 17 000miles, from mostly highway (this is not my photo, similar wear).

Currently at 60,000 miles, the combined toe of the rear wheels is 0degr/15min and camber left rear -2degr/02min, right rear -2degr/43min.

Is it enough to just replace the outer bushings with adjustable Powerflex bushings to correct the camber?

Hi all,
I've just had my Stance+shocks and springs replaced with a new full Koni Definition kit along with H&R ARBs install by Steve at @CRS Performance

It's a T30 LWB with full camper conversion (poptop kitchen R&R bed etc) and towbar for the bike rack and bikes

I asked not to go too low as the van gets used as a camper / mountain bike day van so lots of rough (not properly off roading) tracks - its now approx 30mm lower than standard

My new wheels have just turned up - Tomahawk Kato with 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeaks (replacing staggerd 20" with low profile tyres)

I'm going to call in my local tyre place which I've always had good service from (albeit, for cars) in the past - they have the Hunter alignment system there

I'll get them to fit the new wheels and do the alignment

From everything I've read above - it is as straight forward as asking them to do the Hunter alignment with "NO LOAD" or is thre anything else I have to ask / instruct?

Thanks

Hi. Does this seem OK in terms of toe in at the rear? Not fussed about the camber figures really. Vans a converted LWB camper on solow nsl, approx 80mm down, although the front passenger side is way up (dont ask) which probably explains the odd camber figure
I consider this a work in progress.

New to t6 transporters but not new to alignment. Or coilovers.

No complaints about this alignment place. Was pleased the technician managed to pull the toe back to 0.13ish but apparently that's the minimum it would go. I don't know what good looks like on these but I'd of expected less toe in to be honest.
