Makede Head Unit

Hi all. My 2016 T6 head unit blew due to a fault with the screen. I need to replace and have found an aftermarket Makede unit for a really good price. It says it is VW T6 compatible but the plug wiring appears different. I am told it is a “quad lock” type plug. It has everything I need (apple car play etc) and most importantly suits my budget but have been warned of potential to damage other vehicle electronics, possibly because it is not a common brand (ie a cheaper import).
Has anyone had experience with Makede and can anyone with better knowledge than me advise on the potential to damage the other electronics on the van?

My screen died too, the normal Vw ghost finger. No idea what the unit is you’re looking at, but I went for an alpine halo 9.yes your original unit has a quad lock connector bit you may need to remove the original phone mic and install another that works with the new unit.

Do you have any pics of how the Halo 9 looks once fitted. I will eventually need to change my head unit out, as it plays silly buggers from time to time & the SOS keeps going off on pretty much every journey. I like the look of the Halo units, but the size (especially the Halo 11) is a bit of an issue for me.

I have installed a Mekede DuDu 7 and am super impressed with it. It is really fast in everything it does. When I ordered it, they gave me the correct CanBus and adapter for rear camera, and I also purchased one of their accessories, a TPMS system. I mainly bought it for Wireless CarPlay, and unlike other Android Head units, it connects 99.9% of the time within about two seconds. I would highly recommend one.
