May Bank Holiday Weekend - Who's Going Where?

Well that was bloody freezing! The wife, my son and the dogs had the benefit of the Webasto in the van, whilst my daughter and myself slept in the freezing awning.

2x oil filled rads currently on order with Amazon!

On the plus side, many ciders were sunk and dead animals cooked on the barbie.

Last night we were camping in a wonderful valley campsite. Yesterday we took a Sunday walk. No queues to climb the mountain. Rather on our walk to the waterfall we saw no one for six hours.

Off up to North Yorkshire tomorrow (Robin Hood's Bay to be precise). Just happens to coincide with the Tour de Yorkshire bike race, which goes past the campsite.
It's not going to be warm, and the weather on Saturday looks "challenging".

Back home now. Had a good 3 days around Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. I reckon we saw every type of weather over the long weekend, but had a great time. The relentless wind on Saturday not only battered the women and men cyclists in the Tour de Yorkshire, but also managed to disconnect our Vango awning from the van during the day. It stayed up though, and no damage.

Working out now where to go next.

Hi a which Vango is that?

Awesome pics, some more info would be good. As stated, what campsite? And where is the carpark with the benches overlooking the lake/loche where you have strategically parked straddling a bay  I'm looking to go back up that coast early June.
