MIB2 PQ Discover Media - Infotainment mods, upgrade, FEC / SWaP

The car is Passat B7, but I saw other PQ platform cars got this. I got empty fuel tank warning today, so I guess it communicates with the vehicle (also the offroad menu is working correctly) . I just can't see the other menus on the media (car status, driving school, etc..)

More likely no-one can contribute anything useful - although some T6 indeed have 5C0035680G headunit but not (m)any have updated to FW 0480 and the toolbox. Also T6 PQ25 communication with infotainment is quite different to @Ivan_ch 's Passat B7 PQ35.

Do you get also the oil temperature display on the offroad display?
How does the steering angle display work - e.g. steering right - is it positive or negative angle? On T6 it's counterintuitively negative.

Yes, I got the oil temperature on the display. I'm not sure about the steering angle, will check it tommorow and let you know.

The steering angle is positive on left and negatve on right turn. It works correct.



I also tried the hybrid activation/deactivation and the menus showed up, but after reboot they are gone again..

Hi,

I don't have Discover Media, but Discover Pro. I came across a similar issue regarding Wi-Fi connectivity problems after an upgrade.

I did upgrade:

1. MHI2_ER_VWG11_S2125_1 (original FW)
2. MHI2_ER_VWG11_P3301_MU0814 (middle)
3. MHI2_ER_VWG11_K3342_MU1427 (latest)

Now, I don't have Wifi client option, only hotspot. It is normal?

I want to get the car menu on my MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0480T (5C0035680 G) and need some help.
How to get a skin with car menu button to my unit?
There are some skins like Alpine to get but how to convert from P0478T to P0480T ?

I might need some help. I have a Composition Media but it seems to work too.
I bought my unit patched, with toolbox and with new software update 0480T
I did all the steps as described in the thread here, but I have the problem that the car menu is gone after deactivating hybrid adaptation and reset my unit…
Perhaps anyone have an idea…?!?

Holding the menu button doesn't get me to the developer mode.

I've been into vcds 5f infotainment system, long coding, tried activating developer mode but it says request out of range.

Any pointers?

I've just had mine done, by a guy off Instagram. He's unlocked loads of features on mine. If not, I've heard @Dav-Tec might be able to help

Just an update, managed to get hold of the updated firmware and installed it.

Installed the toolbox after sorting developer mode and now I've got myself android auto, car play and voice control unlocked.

Happy with that.

There is a patch with skins pack on mibsolution "VW_PQ_P0478_FEC_ALL_CID_OFF_CP_OFF_SKIN_FIXED.7z" and I'm wondering if is possible to adapt/convert this file to work with P0480T.
