Certainly not - I can't comment on their performance vs the T6 ones. Although I do know the stock T6.1 speakers are sh1te..... hence I have the Alpine speaker upgrade (+ sub + rear speakers)
They're shite, yet I'm a professional musician with some experience as a recording engineer and seem to think they're OK for what they are (although far from being top flight.) I've had a lot worse in modern cars with a supposed luxury spec cabin.
But indeed, still decent room for replacing/upgrading if that floats ones boat.

So here are the T6 speakers mounted 15 cm down from the door handle with plenty of room to let the sound escape.
And here are the 6.1 speakers 25cm down from the door handle just above the little bin with very little escape holes.
Running the 2 vans side by side the difference was apparent immediately.
I too upgraded to a basic kit with speakers, tweeters and door insulation.
The sound is now up to (maybe slightly better than) the T6, but still seems a bit lost and closed in.
The stock speakers for the 6 and 6.1 would be exactly the same I'd imagine.

Precisely!! Case in point, I have the unfortunate experience of driving a BMW X3 'M' (or something) at the moment and the sound system is so underwhelming it is unbelievable!!!
