NEC Camper Show

Would like to have gone but I'm working Mon-Fri this week and there's no way I'd go there at the weekend.

Fortunately I've a hossy appointment Sunday morning so Mrs Sasquatch's wish won't come true.

Clouds…silver linings…!!!
That remains to be seen. Id rather trudge round the NEC while the missus spends my money than have a billock removed (yes, it's that type of appointment and they're worried enough to want me in in a Sunday,)

Debating whether to go Sunday. Can one of you guys post on here if duvalays and van shades are on offer pleaseeeeee. Oh and maybe a new stove and windbreak

They never discount the 'classic' full single duvalays, only the double VW topper and other accessories.

We're going on Thursday. I suspect that it will be the same as the last time we went to the show (3 years ago, I think) - we will probably walk around for a couple of hours looking at a load of camper porn that we don't really need and then come home and agree that we will probably leave it for a couple of years before we go again. That said, deep down inside, a part of me is hoping that my wife sees a Crafter or Sprinter size camper (preferably 4WD) that she really likes the look of........

If you see Kwoklyn there doing his cooking demos, he has a T6.1 LWB camper

Well that went well! Going to the show was mostly my wife's idea and I wasn't over enthusiastic about it in the first place so when we left home this morning and it was absolutely peeing it down and hadn't eased off by 20 minutes up the quite busy M5 that was all the prompting I needed to suggest that we bin the NEC. Mrs AJ agreed so we turned off at Cheltenham and did a bit of grocery shopping. On a brighter note, I also stopped off at Audi Cheltenham to see how much they wanted to charge for a new cam belt and water pump on my Q5 and was advised that, as for the van, they had moved from 5 years to 140,000 miles and no time limit which has potentially saved me grand or so.

Looked out the window this morning and was glad we’d decided to skip the show this year! (In addition to avoiding the temptations!!!)

I'm there tomorrow
So I went. I was underwhelmed.

Then I visited the Vitrifigo stand and told them my new Weinsberg was delivers with no bottom salad drawer in the fridge. Ah yes they delivered 200 without them in error. Address taken and one in the post as we speak.

Then Went to Truma asked how I could get Bluetooth module for the control unit in my 2024 van They were shocked it was built with the very old units. Result they’ll fit a new all singing and dancing for £299 at my gaff. So I get it at cost.

There’s more

Then I visited Moving Intelligence, asked why the dealer could not fit an alarm at the same time as the tracker, showed them the email he was not impressed. They’ll do it and not charge me for an ‘after fit’ just the cost of 3 door sensors and an infra red motion detector and link it into my app.

So then I thought I’d try to play my face on the Thule stand for a new discounted ‘awning room’ they told me to do one.

On the offchance ... is anyone attending over the remaining days?

My son and I visited yesterday. He purchased 4 of the black foldable coat hangers from the Junis stand this afternoon for his grandmother's birthday. Regrettably, when we got home we realised he mus have left them somewhere. He was pretty devastated - added to that his hamster died.

I have tried contacting Junis with no joy, but if anyone is going, and would be kind enough to purchase 4 of the black foldable hangers from the stand in Hall 1 and subsequently send I will make bank transfer in advance.
