New headlights, fog lights, bumper and bonnet DRLs fitted.

On the bonnet. It takes a bit of placing to get it as you want as it can either be on show or illuminating the area from.

Likewise my wires go to the battery side. Wasn’t aware one side was brighter than the other however wasn’t going to trial wires across the engine bay
I just put the wires from light strip across the battery terminals to work out which side was brighter

Under the bonnet lip is the way to go. Just power it up before you fit it because one edge of the strip is brighter than the other so you want the brighter edge on the outside.
Both edges have adhesive strips. I kept the wires at the battery side.
Then what are you getting the power from ? Which fuse? Are you using one from the engine bay side
I never piggy backed a fuse yet so just want to make sure thanks

Honestly if you can solder (even badly) and use a bit of heat shrink you can also do it.

I’ll try and do a more detailed write up next year when I am back however if I forget give me a poke.

This was the other day. All Melted now.

I'm so glad you are asking these questions! I was lost at 'simple resistors'!IMG_3950.jpeg

Soldering badly I'm good at! Heat shrinking I can do, taking the dash apart scares the bejesus out of me! I really look forward to your invaluable guidance Sam!

I’ve gone from sh1te to bright :D
Finally got all my light upgrades fitted and working.
I’ve fitted THQ V3 all black limited edition headlights. I really like the very dark look they have and think they work well with the purple.
I got the upgraded LED main beam bulbs and the night breaker full beam bulbs.
A huge difference from the H4’s.
I also fitted a fog light kit with upgraded bulbs as my startline doesn’t have them as standard.
I bought bumper mounted DRLs but had to cut them into the startline bumper as it’s one piece and the lower grill is not interchangeable.
They need a slight adjustment before I seal them in. But waiting for a dry day. I’m pleased with the finish.
I also fitted the under bonnet DRL strip.
I’m delighted with it all.
I’ve taken some before and after pics.
The bonnet DRL has a cool night rider start up sequence :D

This looks mint looking to get the same light set up running. Can I ask please which fuse did you use for the under bonnet lights and also where did you wire the bumper DRLs?
Other thing I've noticed is that I've got the same headlights the V3 with the led bulbs and the osram nightbrakers but my LEDs low beam seems to be yellowish on colour not like your nie and white and also the light output it's really rubbish, makes me think maybe I don't have the led bulbs in mine even tho it's what I've ordered and paid for ..hmm

I wired the bumper DRLs and bonnet strip to a fuse that is an ignition feed. The fuse box is in engine bay beside the battery.
I will check which fuse and get back to you.
They come on with the ignition but stay powered up after you remove the keys for about 30 seconds.
The THQ V3 lights don’t come with the LED bulbs fitted in them. They come in a separate box even if ordered together and you need to swap out the existing bulbs in them with the LEDs. You can’t miss the LED bulbs they are nothing like normal bulbs.
I’ve also fitted another set of round bumper DRLs into the sportsline front skirt since then and connected them to the same fuse.
They were like £4. I will post a link if your interested in these.
