DSC_3578.JPG Hi guy's, I'm another newbie. I have been a VW fan as long as I can remember, my dad had them as far back as I can remember. Split screen, bay, variants, and finally T25 transporters. The last one I inherited, but still kept my golf. it was a 1.9 petrol, immaculate but really heavy on fuel. After a few years I sold it and kick myself daily... Arrhh. Anyway I bought a T5.1 panel van added sportline wheels and a rear spoiler, it was a trendline but had leather multifunction wheel, but no cruise. I had planned to keep it for years but after buying a caravan the 102 engine was just too underpowered. I have just swapped for a new 150 T6 combi trendline. I would have liked a sportline or highline 150 but it was there and I couldn't afford more. I kept the sportline wheels from the t5 and have a rear spoiler to put on. Just done 1700 miles holidaying with the caravan, the extra power was great but I couldn't use 6th on most slopes. Will add a few nice bits as I can afford them, like leather steering wheel, I have already added drivers seat armrests. I will be following you guys mods and idea's with interest. Great forum.

My Mrs came up with the name as a birthday present on a shirt, I wore it around bug jam a couple of year's ago. Started a few chats around the bar .

Hi PukkaT6, this is the nearest to a side on picture I have at the moment, If its the colour of the wheels against white you are curious about I can take one for you. I like the colour of your wheels, what colour is your van.DSC_3661.JPG

Just interested to see how they look in arches with standard suspension. Im not after huge wheels just trying to see if I want some lowered springs. Its catch 22 as I like it high but prefer lowered look.

Mine will be Oryx White when it finally arrives so your van is as close as it can be.

I know what you mean about the height, I would like mine a bit lower, I think the front especially looks too tall. What spec have you ordered. Mine is going back next week because the stop start is intermittent.

Gone for a 150 DSG Highline. Apparently the DSG is a tad heavier so sits a bit lower.

In regards to your stop start it can be intermitant especially when you first start it as it needs to warm up. If you are running air con that can also affect whether it works or not. I suppose it needs the battery to remain sufficiently charged.

I found the stop/start and the regen thing very sporadic early on but now its got plenty of miles on it seems to have settled down a fair bit, thankfully, as you never get used to turning the engine off and getting out to an airplane noise coming out from under your bonnet

Thanks guy's. They are giving me a free valet and lending me a van for the day so I thought what the hell, let them look at it.
