New T6 Today- Not Great Start!

Vehicles will always have problems. it’s how a dealership dealers with the problems that separates a good dealership from a bad one. VW Birmingham gave me such a bad experience from start to finish, they didn’t even clear the balance in my PX until a month later so I was paying for 2 vehicles. they gave me 2 years free servicing by way of an apology, I told them not much point as I wouldn’t be steeping foot in another VW Swansway ever again

Hi Barry, I bought my 18plate Caravelle from VW Birmingham last December and I stopped for fuel on my way home and the van wouldn’t lock probably I called them and the said to me to try it again when I got home. By that time they know you are to far away to want to return to them which then makes it a problem for another dealership. Since December mine has been to VW Wrexham 5 times with various faults that were reported within the first week of owning the vehicle. VW Birmingham also avoid returning calls and emails. I got to the point of calling the Head office in Northwich ( also as much use as a chocolate fire car). My last email to Dave Brady ( apparently he is a sales manager) saying they can buy the Caravelle back from me, shockingly enough I got no response.
Thanks
Chris
I've asked Dave to call me on monday. Im hoping its an unfortunate niggle. But its amazing how quickly a small niggle with take your enjoyment away. What issues is it youve had

Il give them a chance on monday. See what happens

To put across the other side. I bought a used T6 last December. I had a few niggles, (leaky 3rd brake light, cracked grill, faulty internal ceiling light) The dealership was 400 mile round trip, so I told them I didn't want to drive all the way down and back a couple of days later. So they sent up a courtesy Caddy, picked up my van and returned it a few days later, all sorted. Just in case anyone wants to know I dealt with Richard Sterna at Vindis Van Centre.
Thats what i call customer service .

Central locking would lock all doors and integral child seat issue, parts to 4 months to arrive. I think it became a battle of wills to see if I would give up ( I didn’t). Dave is a nice enough bloke just doesn’t respond to you. The problem is wether you spend £20k or £40k you should be the most important person to them at time, it seems as so as you are out of sight the customer service has gone.

I kinda got that. But to be honest I've had more bad than good exepriences buying any vehicle now i think about it.
The egr fault code should hopefully not be anything to worry about. But its the niggles that annoy you.
Cant actually fault there preston branch. On the way home i called birmingham and told them il be passing preston in 20 minutes. Arrived and thet instantly took to looking at my van .
That was good
