New turbo followed by issues

Hi guys,
New member here. I took my 2012 180 biturbo to the garage before Christmas and it needed a new turbo and dpf, ouch wasn’t expecting this sort of bill. Anyway when it came back it drove real well on the drive home but the heating was blowing luke warm/cold and has not improved. The next morning I started it up and it was spluttery and the car seemed to almost shake when I revved it when idling. I turned it off waited 5 mins started it and it was fine again, took it to the garage and they hooked it up but no fault codes. Anyway it ran fine for the past two weeks other than the heating but a couple of days ago I started driving and it’s very spluttery and when idling it sounds like a train.
I’m taking it back to the garage next week to try and find out what’s going on. Could air in the system possibly be a cause of these issues? Possibly not being bled properly?
Any advice greatly appreciated

What was the reason for the replacement?
The turbo had seized and apparently the honeycomb like material on the dpf had broken and was no longer functioning properly. The heating was working perfectly when I took it to them and had no other problems other than the turbo and dpf but it comes back with these issues. I looked on line and likely causes for the heating not working after turbo replacement is air in the system, I wondered if that could also be responsible for the other issues I’m experiencing?

I guess you mean air in the coolant circuit? Of course it's a possibility if not bled properly.
Anyways, the cabin heat exchanger is fed by an electric coolant pump - perhaps worth to check it's working. Of course a pump failure should trigger a fault code, e.g. if left unplugged - but can't confirm it does.

Anyways, can't see how poor heating and poor engine running would be related as far as there is no coolant loss.

The engine symptoms sound more like a fueling issue. Without having detailed diagnostic data difficult to guess - e.g. fuel pressures, charge pressures, etc.
Perhaps worth to check injectors fuel return pipes and fuel pressure retention valve therein. When/if they get clogged all kind of mysteries will gradually arise. E.g. below

Thanks for this massively appreciated. Well it’s going back to the garage on Wednesday so hopefully they can figure it out out and it will be something that’s not to costly

Ok so the poor running was a fuelling issue, a valve of some sort. They are ordering the part and that will sort that out. However the heating issue is still a mystery, it’s obviously not throwing up any faults and there saying it could be very costly taking parts off and trialing and erroring parts to see if they work. Really not sure what to do now to be honest
