GOT THE BUG

Hi All, new to the group and been reading many interesting post.
I recently bought a T6 2017, and loving it then purchased the Outdoor Revolution Drive away awning did a test weekend in october last year and cant wait to get out this year in it.
However as the title states i was driving home from a 100m ish return leg journey whent he amber oil sensor warning light came up on the dash flashing intermittently, then disappears for a while and returns. Couldn't work out if during low speed high speed cruising acceleration etc etc just flashed randomly. I stopped at a services immediately checked oil but was ok, i topped up 1L as a precaution. I have been reading and recently ordered oil and filter to change, and will order up a sensor also and change that. I also read that disconnecting the battery for a few hours will reset the fault codes so should only re-appear if the problem persist. (oh and yes have radio code) If warning light returns then i think its a trip to the mechanic. Is there any other recommendations or something more I should do am i missing something. I am use to swinging spanners so the work doesn't bother me.
