You can transfer private car insurance one one company to another. (Irrelevant if there is business use or not)
But if you have a business policy and a commercial vehicle etc i.e. a Kombi as a work van, then you can't transfer it per se. But some insurers will take into consideration but you will build new NCB.
So I have a car with private insurance but with class 1 business use. So mainly it SDP with business.
If I get a Kombi Van, which I am insuring as a business vehicle and using it commercially i.e. as my vehicle at work. Then probably can't transfer NCB.
But if the Kombi is replacing my car and I need it for SDP but also class 1 use, i.e. like my current car. Then I could transfer as it's like for like.
