No steering wheel air bag

Hi

Wasn't really sure where to put a question on air bags. I've just bought an already adapted disability t6 which has an OMP steering wheel opposed to OEM, most likely due to space constraints.

What are the clues if they have moved air bag to a side or curtain air bag? How can i tell if I have any type of drivers air bag

Can you post a picture of your steering wheel?

Pop off the trims and have a look.

I imagine they will have just tucked the wiring back into the dash with a terminating resistor in the plug to cancel out any faults
If the wiring is there and intact nothing to stop you refitting a factory wheel and airbag and getting it back to standard

With such a safety critical item it’s bizarre there is no system in place for checking/recording the presence of factory airbags and their function.

This is the second post tonight where airbags seem to be casually coded out/removed.

Future buyers of these vehicles might think they have protection they don’t. At least if they knew up front they could make an informed decision.

I've returned the vehicle as I didn't want a car or van without. It was an OMP 13" steering wheel.

I was told it was to make room for the patavan steering controls and an sur bag could break them.

I am buying a van without all the complicated steering.
