No traffic messages

Yes, just the same, a bit crap isn't it! I think it's more to do with who sends incident data to whoever transmits this data to the satnav. I have a Garmin satnav which does traffic data but I have not had a chance to correlate the two to see if it's a VW thing or a generic one. We don't tend to use the satnav in Wales because we know where we're going so I have never noticed if it is missing here or not on the Garmin
It comes in handy as it diverts to avoid traffic jams sometimes. And, there are a lot of traffic jams around North Wales, especially on A55. We've had to use Google to check for hold ups to avoid them. Its not always possible to use Google though if mobile signal is bad. Might have to email company to see why traffic messages doesn't work in Wales :/
Not many places off the A55 you can escape on either, too many people up that end of the country using that part of the road
Yes, it's a terrible road when congested. Believe me, my husband knows all the escape routes! He manages to avoid a lot of the queues lol. We were approaching a traffic hold up last week just before a slip road, he didn't wait, and was lucky to get off straight away, I used Google maps to see how far it went on for, and we just got back on further down. Managed to avoid an hours standstill, the same thing happened on way back, but I'd already seen it on Google, and we managed to get off and avoid a shorter roadworks holdup. Traffic notifications is helpful if need to avoid if possible.
