Just used winter tyres on black ice this morning.
Nokian wr d3 winter on Suzuki Jimny
Nokian wr c3 winter on t6 front wheel drive.
1 in 4 hill. Jimny sailed up no wheel spin in 2wd. Coming back down, following another car struggling to get down hill, no problems in Jimny. No sliding or anything.
This was to take dog for walk.
30min later went to work in T6. Up same hill, traction control going like mad to get up hill. Vehicles still struggling to come down hill.
Saw no other vehicles going up hill probably no winter tyres.
The d3 tyres are by far the best winter tyres I have ever used. Had on a Mazda bongo before and could go anywhere on ice snow. C3 tyres are good but not quite as good as d3s
No summer tyre would have got up hill, even on Jimny in 4wd mode
