Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations for a camp site ove the bank holiday (Friday evening to monday)

When I was a nipper, we used to always holiday in scratby or Hemsby. I've just phoned the campsite we used to go to, and they've stopped any camper vans coming on since 2015.

Can anyone recommend any in or around scratby/Hemsby or great Yarmouth?

The Kingfisher Cafe and Kinfgisher chippy are very good at Walcot which is only a few minutes away from above mentioned.....

Its my local area

Agree.... Yarmouth is the last place to be visiting imo.

Stick to the North Norfolk coast..... loads to see

Manor Caravan Park in Happisburgh is good. 10min walk to beach, 5mins to the village pub.

Don’t bother with Great Yarmouth, is an absolute sh!t’ole these days!
Yeah I've not been Yarmouth since 2013, heard its gone down hill massively.

I hadn’t been for 30+ years and was shocked at the state of the place. I’ll not be going back for another 30 years (if I am still going then!).

This is a nice little site not far from up the coast from Not-Great Yarmouth. A short distance to the seals at Horsey Gap too.

Think you need to be a certified member for that pitch though, but a very good shout. I like the idea of seals

I’m planning the same but was finding most campsites full, ended up booking into Fakenham Race Course campsite which I’ve used before as a base for the area

The above mentioned campsite is in a good area and only minutes from most places.........

Not sure if its too early for the seals at Horsey, to see get the best photos of them you have to go November time..... that is spectaculer.

Head West up the coast and if your in to snorkeling have a look at the Youtube link below....... not a lot of people aware of this.

We've just had an impulsive no booking, 'let's sod off in the van' weekend.
Stayed at Cromer Camping. £25 a night, it's basic, very basic. But it's a 'home is where you park it' open field site a 10 minute walk from Cromer Pier. I don't think it's the kind of place that ever runs out of space?

Cromer was busy, to be expected on a lovely summer weekend, and will be even more so on the BH, and the carnival is on. but now we know it's there will probably use it again.

We’re currently at a pop up campsite at Holkham Hall near Cromer.
Big pitches.
Good for a bike ride around and pretty close to the beach.

We love Holkham….the walk from Holkham beach round to Wells is lovely when the tide is out…. It’s one of our favs. The Coastal buses are good too if you are limited for time or hit the wall!
