Not All Lubes Are Equal....who Knew?

Ah…..so I'm not alone @Loz.....do you have a particular favourite that you'd recommend? I did wonder if it was a pointless exercise? Am I right in saying only silicone sprays are safe on rubber components?
on silicone rubber yes, on natural rubber (not much stuff is natural rubber nowadays) then Candle wax rubbed in according to my late ex step father in law who owned a rubber factoring business.

…...and that's what I love about this forum.....every day's a school day!

I just looked on my can of copper grease.....it clearly says "ideal for wheel nuts"! It also mentions spark plug threads.....does anyone lube their spark plug threads?

... I would never put any lubricant on the wheel bolts !! ... if they are original and tight as specified they will not have any difficulty in unscrewing .... with alloy rims the problem is the oxide that it forms on the hub, especially if you do not frequently dismount the wheels, but it's not my case .. I have three different wheels series .. sometimes I change them .. (it's a good reason to escape from the wife .. hehehe ) ..
