Onboard Water Storage - Essex

Hi,

I currently have a T6 camper van, which was converted by a place in Wales. They didn't fit any onboard water storage and i currently use a collapsible water bottle in one of the cupboards. This has worked well so far but we wanted to use the van for some longer voyages and some wild camping, so an on board solution would be more preferable.

So, i was looking for some recommendations for any van converters/fitters in the Essex area that could possibly help with fitting an onboard water tank and also moving the waste pipe externally.

@ianmpos you could try Larkin Custom Conversions. They undertook some electrical installation work for us about a year ago with which we were very happy. They are based near Burnham-on-Crouch.

Can’t answer your question, but just something to consider. If you have a fixed tank, then you have to take the van to to fill point to fill it up. We have a 20litre semi-fixed tank in a cupboard that we can remove & take to the tap. We also have a 10litre portable jerrycan that is our day to day usage. We can fill this up from any convenient tap that we happen to come across. If needed, we can top up the 20litre tank from the 10litre can. It works for us & 30litres can easily last a weekend including a “van shower”. With a fixed tank you have to consider freezing weather & hygiene.
Just something to consider.
