T6.1 Overfilled Oil engine light

Hi
I’ve recently bought a new t6.1 and had a reoccurring overfilled oil warning light appear
Oil seems to be correct
It’s been back to vw 4 times and they replaced the sump sensor but fault still appears !!!

has anyone else experienced this problem??

thats a new one,

assuming . .

batch of faulty sensors,

or

wire issue between sensor and ECM

or

ECM coding.

On some vehicles with DPFs the fuel injector timing is altered so it injects some fuel on the exhaust stroke when the valves are open. This can lead to some diesel finding its way into the sump and diluting the oil. Does the oil smell like diesel?

Thanks for the replies

Had a technician come out twice
He did say something similar but the oil smelled fine
Then vw had it in for nearly 2 weeks due to the current circumstances which is understandable
They told me they replaced the sensor and everything was fine

drove to work and same fault

Hi Matt I recently bought a VW 6.1 and I am having the same message. It is currently in workshops having it looked at. Are you still having the same problem or have you had it sorted. Ta
