Overnight stop at Le Shuttle terminal

Hi All,

So I’m off on my first European tour next week! Driving down to the Algarve through France and Spain. I’m booked on to a train early Friday morning so planning on driving down to Folkestone on the Thursday night. What’s the best plan on overnighting it down there? Is there somewhere to stop overnight (I’ve read about Stop24 but I’m not paying £20 for the pleasure) and some people talk about getting the train over that night and sleeping at Cité Europe?

Any advise greatfully appreciated!

me and mi dad did the same journey Down to the algarve last year in a golf r. While the rest off the family flew out . We did it in 26 hours without an overnight stay just swapping every 2 hours it was brilliant will be definitely doing it again

I’ll be taking a bit longer than 26 hours! More like 4-5 days. Going to be stopping off at places and planning on doing a bit of cycling in the Pyrenees. Should be pretty epic though!
