Paid For Something You Didn't Get...

This is the combo that I used on my van, I did a DB sound test before and after, think it went from mid 90’s to high 60’s so from a sound deadening point of view I think it’s a good product. Insulation wise... my van gets very very cold! If I was to do it all again I would use a different product.

I emailed dodo when I did mine to see what the recommended application was and here is the reply...

We recommend using 50%+ coverage of Dodo Mat Hex deadening on the panels first. Treat the metal body panels with this to reduce panel resonance, vibration and body boom. This product can be used on any metal panel in your vehicle, with the most common areas to treat being the floors, doors, sides, wheel arches, roof and bulkhead. This will make the doors and panels sound more solid.

An optional next stage is to then tackle the airbournenoise with an acoustic foam solution such as Dodo Thermo Liner. This will be applied straight over the top of the Dodo Mat Hex deadening. This will help absorb the road, tyre, exhaust noise roaring through these metal panels, but most importantly provides excellent thermal insulation and regulates the temperature inside the van. This product is also available in an extra thick version for better performance, this is called Dodo Thermo Liner Extreme.

If your van is a LWB you may require more of each product, we recommend having a measure up to make sure prior to ordering.
