Paint came off removing high level rear light - best thing to do ?

Hi all

I’ve just removed the high level rear light and due to the adhesive used, it’s taken some of the paint off with it. (See photo)

Before I stick a new one light cover back on, is there anything you would recommend I do to the area first ?

I’m not sure that you actually took any paint off!

It looks more that various adhesives/sealants have been used. Give the whole area a good clean-up and inspect it again.

Seeing as it is all hidden by the light fitting, you could just touch it all in with a small brush

It looks to be the paint, see this photo of what’s come off when I took out the high level light/camera..

Amazing to think, it could take the paint right off..

Is there a primer/paint I should look to use, as I expect a little bit will be exposed when I put the new light/ camera in ?

Just pop into HalFrauds and pick up a touch-up paint bottle with brush in a similar colour if you believe it is paint. It is in an area that doesn’t get seen (but that also makes it the reason to make sure it has a coating!)

If you’re really stuck, nick your other half’s clear nail varnish - it will do the same job!!!
