You've got a contract then - offer and acceptance!I have an emailed purchase order from them confirming the £35k offer as well
No, only the date that he sent it to me to which I emailed acceptanceDoes the PO mention the original Saturday completion date?
Yep! Oh, just missing the “consideration” piece of that jigsaw, eh?!!You've got a contract then - offer and acceptance!
Meh - mere detail my boy. Mere detailYep! Oh, just missing the “consideration” piece of that jigsaw, eh?!!
That’s what I believe to be the case, as @JOG said there is no completion date so therefore it is still valid. I don’t want to drive 2 hours to have them say “ not as described “ or something to that effect and then say £33.5k. Frustrating to say the leastYou've got a contract then - offer and acceptance!
Silly me! Sweating the small stuff!!!Meh - mere detail my boy. Mere detail
If you want me to cast a jaundiced eye over it, DM me and I’ll give you my email address. I’d need to read the “small print” too though and any other correspondence. That’s what I believe to be the case, as @JOG said there is no completion date so therefore it is still valid. Indeed. Having a contract is one thing, but proving it is another (probably quite expensive) thing! If you want me to cast a jaundiced eye over it, DM me and I’ll give you my email address. I’d need to read the “small print” too though and any other correspondence.
My cynical view is simple: once you reach for “the contract” recognise that you are also at the steps of the divorce court!
*gets off his soapbox now!
Thanks @JOG i think as @ThreeBridgeT6 has said proving anything is a different matter. It’s more frustrating than anything. I have spent more than £120k with this dealer in the last 4 years as I change my vehicles regularly, as @moomin-j will confirm I have previously said “nothing is forever, not even the wife” ha haIf you want me to cast a jaundiced eye over it, DM me and I’ll give you my email address. Good approach! I would be inclined to play @huw169 card - the “I was interested, but it’s not worth it now” line and let him stew! Always be content to walk away from a bad deal! Thanks @JOG i think as @ThreeBridgeT6 has said proving anything is a different matter. It’s more frustrating than anything.
