In case this helps anyone.
I bought a generic chicom MagSafe phone charger for my van. It’s magnetic and charges the phone when it’s connected. I had it on my T5.1, clipped onto a vent, but it wasn’t overly secure.
I saw a suggestion on here for this location- so thanks. I didn’t want any visible holes, which was my main specification.
I’ve posted these pics to assist others.
Initially the bracket was longer, but this got in the way of the vent. Thankfully I only drilled the bottom hole into the dash. The top hole in the bracket would have meant a visible hole in the dash so I didn’t use that. The bracket needed trimming into the shape you see to enable the short length of vent to still fit.
Regarding wiring, I’ve simply plugged it into the dash top accessory socket for now. I’ll shortly be doing more wiring to the van, so will feed it to a suitable place then.
Hope this helps someone.
