Here is mine with bulldog clip for parking tickets. One advantage of being in the middle is that SWMBO can also see the satnav - often a benefit when in unfamiliar territory or she has organised the itinerary!

Brodit is the way to go if you want a fit & forget, solid, no rattle, no wobble solution. Personally I wouldn’t use anything else.

Its just the angle of the photo. When you’re sat back in the seat its hardly noticeable.

Used to have a MagSafe one but it fell off too often.

Was that a cheapo holder or with a non MagSafe case on the phone? I’ve used them for a few years now and never, ever had one fall off. If anything I’ve had issues with the whole holder coming away from the car and staying stuck to the phone!!

No, it was a Scosche on an iPhone with no case. Also tried it with an Apple MagSafe case and it made no difference.

Ah, ok, I’ll avoid those then. Never had one so much as budge in several years and a 150k odd miles driving across multiple phones, vehicles, mounts and cases. My wallet is MagSafe attached and thankfully that’s never come off either!

Another vote for Brodit, but I put mine on the passenger side of the van - clears the 12v charging point and means I can access the central cubby hole on the top of the dash with ease. I tuck the charging lead underneath it and use the USB near the glove box to avoid wires trailing across the dash.

I also use bulldog clips for parking tickets but yearn for that Skoda screen clip that was the essence of 'Simply Clever' on my Octavia.
