We went there last year, dragged the kids up the hill. We were rewarded (eventually) with two passes by a BAE Hawk - incredible sound in such close proximity! My photo (iphone) not as good as yours….they are F fast!

Male: black with red-orange markings.
If it is the white-faced darter, it’s a rare dragonfly in the UK
@Cymro thank you for the compliment and time to look at it, I enjoyed getting these images as I was as I said, putting the r5 and rf lens to the test, but the way these guys were playing was amazing, I did catch one motionless on the water only to zoom in and see it’s wings were slightly beating to keep it afloat, the ripples were so light but showed it to be swimming will upload that image tomorrow as it’s not on my phone at moment

Last week my son and a teammate bike packed the NC500 in five days. I was there for transport up to Inverness and back but only nearby them for photography and any emergencies. I had been buzzed by a Lambo a few times on the second day when heading onwards to Durness then came across these three at Kylesku Bridge. Apparently from an Italian motoring magazine.
